At Heisig we were greeted so warmly by glorious Gary, the Salesperson at the time. Do you know, Gary was the first salesman to greet us by standing up from behind his desk, having a chat and escorting us with a personal tour of the home? We stepped inside and I had goosebumps. Around every corner was another feature that made our hearts sing. There was warmth, colour and texture, flow and originality not to mention elements showcased like a coffered ceiling, sunken lounge, timber features, hard wood stairs, double height ceiling, wainscotting, fireplace, exquisite fixtures, interconnected zones and the list goes on. You could just feel the quality and sense the customised approach. The floorplan, workmanship and design speaks for itself and to us its charm stood high above the rest. Gary never pressured us with a pitch, questions or requests. He answered our questions, listened to our story and offered us some guidance and information. He had our best interests at heart and that soon became a common theme throughout our entire Heisig journey.

For us it was a no-brainer. We’d outgrown our home but loved our location. The following week the marvellous Marcus came to our home and it soon became clear how a knockdown and building a custom home was the very best path for us and our unique block. Marcus could see our vision and understood our style, aesthetic and priorities. We signed up with no pressure to continue past the initial stage. From day one I could barely keep pace with the responsiveness that the Heisig team delivered. We had numerous meetings at our convenience with Marcus to draft the initial design of our home and he met the brief.  

We locked in our design and contract and were in the capable hands of the office and design team. Dell guided us through the process, contract paperwork, timeframes, requirements, next steps and kept us informed of any changes too. We could always rely on Dell and Jodie to navigate us through the paperwork, ensure that we were on track with variations and contract stages so we knew what was expected of us and minimise any surprises. There were a few moments of disappointment but these were always met by Heisig with understanding, compromise, options and encouragement.

We were continuously impressed with the suppliers Heisig connected us with for everything . We soon met Awesome Aaron, our Site Supervisor who quickly became a most treasured part of the construction process, along with Steve and all the crews. We were in contact weekly with Aaron either by phone, email or on-site and he was always attentive, informative, patient, accommodating, consultative and invested in what we wanted. I could not have asked for more in a Site Supervisor. It was such a joyous build experience no doubt in part to our collaboration with Aaron. We are so grateful for our build journey. With all the other unfortunate stories you hear about people building homes - we had to keep pinching ourselves and that our dream was a reality.  
We’d do it all again with Heisig. It was such a wonderfully positive experience and I would recommend them to anyone.

From our first visit to the Display Home, the team offered us great advice and assistance. We always knew we would build with Heisig. 

We wanted a spacious feel that was warm and welcoming, and discussed the room placement, and finish quality. Marcus took his sketches to the design team, and when the plans were drawn up, there were only a couple of minor changes to make it perfect for us. Everything was very easy and we were ready to move forward from there. The contract process was uncomplicated and easy to understand. 

Making our various selections for the build was easy and all the companies and trades we had to deal with were very helpful. Everything just flowed well and went very smoothly.

Any queries we had were always answered promptly and we had a great experience during construction. All of the tradesmen that we had dealings with onsite were great, and they worked hard during some difficult times. Our dealings with the team in the office were always positive as well.

We have ended up with a very well built and finished home, that we love, and is what we wanted. It was a lot of effort, but certainly worth it. We had plenty of good cheer and the odd coffee and cake along the way as well.

“I contacted Heisig constructions after being recommended by a family member who spoke very highly of them and after doing my own due diligence.

My partner and I were first home builders, so we were looking for that little bit of extra guidance, transparency and open lines of communication between us and the team. We were certainly not disappointed!!

From the initial enquiry phone calls/emails with Steven Heisig in March 2019 to handover in March 2020, we were looked after with the upmost care. The build process was very smooth and as a result was comfortably completed within the timeframe discussed in the planning phase.

“When we moved from Sydney 15 years ago and started looking for houses, Heisig Constructions caught our attention with their wooden framed site signage and contemporary house designs. Fast forward 10 years and our lifestyle and needs had changed, it was time to do something with our older style home as we loved the neighbourhood but not the house. “We have lived in our new Heisig built home for a few months now and we simply couldn’t be happier, in fact we pinch ourselves every day just to be sure it is real.

Originally we lived in the Redlands, and we were impressed by the various styles of homes – highset & lowset that Heisig Constructions were building in the district. We decided they would be shortlisted on the choice of builder for our desired home.

The initial contact with Marcus Arber – designer/salesman, a member of the Heisig family was very reassuring as he listened carefully to our requirements and brought many new and innovative ideas and specification issues to the table. From the outset we were on the same page.

We were so impressed with Marcus Arber’s professionalism and way of doing business that we never did speak with any other builders.

Nothing was too much trouble and together Marcus and Steve Heisig, spent many hours refining the design and specifications of our new home.

Having quite a few architecturally designed high-set homes in our street, our new low-set home needed to have a Wow Factor in street appeal – And the Heisig Team got it right – Wow, Wow, Wow.

The travel distance was no problem as we had purchased canal land at Calypso Bay, Jacobs Well, virtually half way to the Gold Coast. All of the hours spent in briefings with Marcus and Steve, and their hours in assembling all the information resulted in most detailed plans and construction drawings you can imagine including a separate versions for use by the different trades.

All the tradespeople who work with Heisig understand the unparalleled commitment to quality demanded by company and were always willing to discuss the build with us on site visits.

A special mention must to Mark Leo, the site manager with an absolute passion for the job and is the personification of the quality commitment in the build and completely ensures the satisfaction of the client, a true gentleman.

We both run a business and know the importance of integrity, honesty and trust. The Heisig team are a family business, second generation and stand true with all these qualities – Together with their dedicated staff, this business has the “Care Factor”. At every stage of the build you are kept in the loop.

The whole experience from the first meeting to the day of handover has been rewarding, satisfying and to be sure – so much fun. My wife Kaz and I moved into our new Heisig built home in Cleveland. Ours was a demolition and rebuild project, which we were somewhat apprehensive about given we were resident of Canberra and not able to be present for all phases of the construction.

From our first on site meeting with Marcus, through to the new home orientation and handover with Damian and Steve, Kaz and I were continually impressed with the Heisig Constructions team.

We experienced excellence in customer service every step of the way. It was the thoughtful touches such as being sent photos via discs or email of the stages of the build or regular phone updates from Marcus and Mark to advise us of the progress or answer any questions which made this such a stress-free and pleasurable experience.

Kaz and I met many of the tradies involved in our project, including the carpenters, brickies, painters, tilers, plumbers and sparky. All bar none were not only professional and committed to quality work, but were also friendly, approachable and good humoured. The same can be said of the office staff. Mark Leo is a standout supervisor.

In the design phase Marcus was able to translate our vision into a functionally beautiful design that complimented the unusual shape of our land. The orientation is brilliant and we been able to achieve a sizable home and retain plenty of back yard due to the layout. We did not get anywhere near this level of design input with the other builders we spoke to in the tender stage.

In the contract and selection phase Dell and Trish were great, nothing was too much trouble and everything was attended to in a timely manner with a high level of detail. We found the whole colour, finishes, kitchen design and room fit out selection process to be excellent and the suppliers shared in the same philosophy of quality and detail.

During construction Mark, and later in the build Steve and Ryan did a great job in ensuring we were always updated. The attention to detail and quality of workmanship is unbelievable. I am an extremely detail oriented person and could not fault the work or finish on our home. The entire building process was really enjoyable for us and we would build again with Heisig without hesitation. Having listened to some of my new neighbours complain about their builders, we feel fortunate to have had such a great experience.

Our friends, visitors and family continually comment on the home, its design and overall quality finish.
